SLA's and Response Times
A member of my team who has been charged with validating SLA's (Service Level Agreements) of availability and response times asked me about a way to test response time on FoxPro applications. I know of no tool that is available that would give an accurate benchmark. In my experience there are way too many variables that could affect this score ie:
Other applications being run,
Shared data access,
Server based or desktop based,
Hard disk space,
Amount of RAM,
Last time disk was defragmented, etc.
Has anyone had any experience with a tool like this or heard of something that might help in this situation.
