My client has an app written in POXW 2.6a.

In this app they used to open a till connected to the COM port COM2 by using a COPY FILE xxxx TO COM2. This file had the Control COdes needed to fire the till. Unfortunately this does not work in WIN XP as the ports cannot be written to in this way.

Is there any other way of sending codes to the COM port in XP?

I know in VFP we used to use a utility called RAWPRINT.FLL but that is 32 bit.
