This is really important. Personally, I don't even know why this is customizable. That should be built in and always on. But, for some kind of reason, someone decided that IE should allow the user to customizable it. You should see it somewhere in Tools / Internet Options. I just checked for it again, I was not able to find it. It may be under a different name such as User Persistence or something like that. Basically, when it is off, the cookie is not broadcasted to any other windows for what is effective. So, basically, you login in one window and the other one has no idea of the previous session.
