>We received an email from a company asking for work the other day, we replayed back saying we were using VFP7. They replied saying they didn't do must work with VFP as it was not very scalable. I sent a message back saying VFP was scalable and under certain conditions VFP was as fast or faster then SQL Server. They have replied back with the message below. We only use VFP native database and all our application are desktop apps at present. Can anyone give me some information to show them the error of there ways.

(Thats why they have discontinued it) There is absolutely no comparision between VFP and SQL Server for mid to large applications. I agree for the smaller applications with very little concurrent load it works, however as the number of concurrent users increases performance degrades.

VFP is perfect tools for creating clent side desktop applications, it has wonderful functionality to process SQLServer - the best and scalable database server.
My personal advice is to use VFP(front-end)-SQLServer(back-end) most powerfull combination.
