Hi Mark and Tracy and others,

Yes, Tracy got the point. I see the potential of two individuals, I know, I can work with them, besides, it's much cheaper, than hiring American programmer. Anyway, I didn't yet present a proposal to my manager, I need to understand the pitfalls of this process first. Right now I just sent a project to them to study...

I'm also not certain, that my idea would work. I estimate the possibility of this contract as ~60%.

I think, Venelina made several good points, so I probably don't have to worry about contracts and other issues. However, I'm not sure, how the president of our company will react on my proposal... Will see, I have nothing to loose in any case...

I also disagree with Peter. I used to trust people at first and I don't remember lots of cases, where my trust was betrayed. We have criminals in Russia, no doubt, but I hope, that majority of the people are quite honest and law-obidient...

Anyway, we'll see.

>I believe 'home' for Nadya originated in Russia. I know she lives in the U.S. now and this is her home too, but it may be that she knows of Russian developers whose web development work she has seen personally, is impressed with their professionalism, and would like for them to participate. I think many developers choose to work with other VFP developers they have worked with (or sen their work) in the past whenever possible. Also, her reputation will be on the line also with her boss in going this route and this may be a 'safe' route for her to go.

>>Considering the economic turmoil our country is in and the recent implosion of IT jobs, hiring a US citizen is not an option? I am sure you would not have a problem finding a ton of qualified developers willing to work. Economic recovery begins at home.

>>>Hi everybody,
>>>
>>>I want to convert one of my applications into WEB-application. I don't think, I would be able to do it alone, so I'm thinking about hiring two Russian developers. I'm working in a company, so I have to present this idea to my manager. Since I've never done this before, I'd like to ask some advices:
>>>
>>>1. What kind of contract it should be, can I look into existing forms, what complications could be along the way?
>>>
>>>2. Should my manager make a contract with these two developers himself or I should do it myself?
>>>
>>>All other advices you may have are welcome.
>>>
>>>Thanks a lot in advance.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
