>Like Access, VFP is isnt very scalable. I am sure you will get a ton of info on MSDN on it.

Umm, I'm sure you won't. The MSDN library is on the web, give me a link to this ethereal info.

Crap, I'm out of a job and nobody told me?

Couldn't agree more. Both are pretty fast, there's no need to compare. SQL Server has much better security, though, and can have tables larger than 2Gb.

>As for the speed, I think you should conduct some tests on some large tables 10,000 records or more. You will see a big difference.

BWAHAHAHAHA! Been there, done that. 10K records is trivial. I guess they missed the demo from (I think) the 3.0 days that showed the performance with the database that had every street in the U. S. Had something like a couple million records in there. I still use it for large table testing.

But all that aside, the last time I checked, SQL Server doesn't have a front end. Want to use SQL Server? Hey, you've got this MSFT shareholder's approval. But you'll need something for the presentation layer, and VFP does a great job of that.
