I've been contemplating making a couple of versions available. One with PDF Output and one without and maybe even a light version that doesn't have all the fancy stuff to get shipped out with some other report tools on the market. Kind of like the way that we get Install Shield Light with VFP. Based on similar controls that I have seen on the market without PDF Output, I was thinking a fair price would be in the $400 to $500 dollar range for Royalty Free Runtime Distribution per developer. And with PDF Output, maybe then between $600 to $800. I guess it is whatever the market will bear and is still affordable. I have put A LOT of time, effort and frustation into both this control and my Report Engine that goes with it. So, I have a lot of development cost to recoup! *BG* But I also want to make it affordable so EVERYONE will want to get it. The Report Preview Control is not limited to use with VFP. It can be scripted with any language that supports ActiveX controls just as you saw on the web page.


Since you tried it out can I ask some questions of you:

- How was performance on the viewer?
- Did you test the PDF Output?
- Did you test the Printer Output?
- How was the ZOOM?

I am still planning on adding Continuous and Continuous Facing Pages like in the Adobe Acrobat viewer. But that probably won't be done until the first update.

I'm always looking for more ideas. So far this has all been on my wish list and hearing others complain over the years.
