I'm having a heck of a time automating footers in Word.

I simply need to create a footer for an entire document (one section). The footer consists of two seperate bits of text, separated by a blank line. The first bit of text must be preceeded with a superscript "1".

I'm getting an object reference to the footer's range object, but I can't create the superscript, and the second line of text is replacing the first.

Can someone give me an idea on how to do this?
