There are a lot more companies now using SPAM as a "marketing" technique.

Me either.
It could be some newsletter, website, etc. sold your e-mail address. People also troll the Web Connect support site harvesting e-mail addresses, and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened here as well.

Only 10? I get > 200 (filtered, that is).

1 a day? That's nothing ;-) Honestly, I just took a look through my e-mail for the past few days and I didn't find anything I'd consider spam. Postini generally seems to do a good job with filtering the garbage from my e-mail. When it misses something, I log in and add the domain to my deny list.

Hmm...I guess you could get a new e-mail address and not use it. Measure the level of spam you get. Sign up for Postini and see if it changes.
