To some degree, I think we all get that. But in the end, I know that I'm there to solve a business problem. Software is the primary discipline used to solve this problem, and VFP in particular (but there are many non-software components to solving most problems, too). And VFP can solve that problem in most cases better than anything else on the planet. And if you're dealing with real decision makers (read company executives) rather than naive IT folks, who cares what the IT people say? If you have a track record of solving problems, you can make VFP work very much to your advantage.
