I am finishing up an application that will have 12 DBs working in a disconnected environment. I am using SQL Anywhere Studio by Sybase. They have an excellent product that will do two-way replication reliably without a lot of gymnastics. You can keep MS SQL server as the consolidated DB if you need. The other advantage is the DB will run on laptops, win98, CE and palm devices if that is needed. Sybase claims to have about 60% of the small and mobile DB market.
