A SQL-Select into a cursor will not create an empty cursor if no records match your criteria. Any actions upon the non-existing cursor will produce errors.

I use _tally after the select to determine if a cursor was created but, elseware in the application I need to perform actions upon the cursor but, I don't know a command in Foxpro to ask "Does the cursor exist at all?", like type() for memory varibles. Can anyone help?
