if you are scanning standard codes I'm not sure what you can do unless you can program the scanner to send some special character before the code. If you are printing the codes that are to be scanned then just put something like %% in front of the code and have the valid of the text box check for it and refuse anything that does not have it. I do it that way and it works great. As far as moving to the next text box after the scan, most bar code scanners send a charage return after the scan. Just have the text box keypress check for it and keyboard a tab.
