I would think that Stonefield Query would be more suitable, if you want the data set as a result of query. However, I often find that custom built query screen/routine may be more efficient from the users workflow point of view, than the generic query tool, which users have to understand how to use properly. It's a trade off. Good generic query tool gives you the query functionality with just about any imaginable option almost without any effort from the developer. But the thing is that the users often hate it, because too many options challenge them. :)
