>Tomorrow I will be working on the back of the VFP 8.0 box feature list details (the main features of VFP 8.0 listed on the >back of the box). It is difficult to list only the main new features since we don't have room on the box to list all the >great new ones that could make the back of the box. There is a good size list of other things I am working on relative to >VFP 8.0 as well.

Ken, since there are so many improvements to list, why don't you ask for a fold out flap on the box so you can get two more pages to add those items to. And, if you need more room add slicks in between. Or you could just always use a bigger box like the ones that MS shipped to me back in the 90's for promos. They were about 4 to 5 feet tall. Then you would have plenty of room and it would make VFP stand out pretty prominently in the stores. However, come to think of it I don't think I've ever seen VFP at Best Buy or Circuit City. I don't even know that I've noticed it at CompUSA on the shelf either. But then again I haven't seen VS.NET at Sam's Club either. But you could pick up a lot more sales if Sam's Club picked it up.

Maybe the VFP Team should consider writing a version of VFP for the XBox or Playstation! Then kids could catalog all of their games and high scores, etc. Or to really boost sales throw in an MP3 Encoder Function like:

SYS(13163,DriveLetter,BitRate)

Add that on the front of the box as a NEW FEATURE! I don't think the .NET classes have that one yet.

Just some ideas for you while you're thinking about it!
