Geoff,

Firstly, I had to put my previous message somewhere, so I addressed it to you. Secondly, If I was offending someone / something it was the thread out there, and surely not you. The contrary : assume you earned a star already. it made me think of things from quite another perspective. In fact, for some 8 more hours yesterday I was working on this, and I suddenly feel near to the solution. However :

It was the message mentioning TableUpdate (Dragan) that made me think "what ? ("wait a minute here ..."), suddenly assuming that the other thread was about some Remote View stuff. But in the end I don't think it was about that at all (Dragan again), and now I am really confused. Yeah, or you all are. ;-)

I think (!) I know enough of it all that I fairly can say that -looking at the way Dragan explained it- what you ever may experience out there, just is not true. I mean, taling about "native VFP DML" and mentioning TableUpdate in the same breath, looks contradictionary to me. To me, the both conflict, hence TableUpdate doesn't belong to native VFP at all. And, anything around the DBC arleady doesn't, not matter how much you all will disagree. All IOW :

Once you leave out commands like TableUpdate, all said in the thread is far from any truth, and you just can test this. No way you can let it flaw, or you must be doing real strange things again.
Furthermore, I really can't tell why people would go around with stuff used implied with TableUpdate, unless for fashion reasons or so. However, I'd rather say that the ones using this, do this because of "View" reasons afterall. And you won't here me saying that you shouldn't use those. So, if it turns out that in that area things flaw, I can only agree because of really not knowing.
