VFP doesn't run on Linux, and probably never will.

Linux apps can and does use xBase for database solutions susceptible to xBase's light capabilities.

For applications which require a strong RDMS use PostgreSQL. It is OpenSource and GPL. The source code comes with it.
It is Oracle-like in many features but is easier to tune and easier to use.
