I have to agree with most of this. I think MSFT knows perfectly well how great VFP is but MSFT does not make the money on it that they can/do with SQL cost-per-seat so it will never be touted by MSFT for that reason. It will also never be improved to the point of being competitive with MSFT's other products for that reason. For those systems that could benefit from local tables or a lan system MSFT touts Access-go figure! I think it is important that no VFP developer subscribe to MSFTs lack of vision for VFP though and tout it ourselves whenever it makes good business sense. It is owed to the customers to present the best solution to meet their business needs. Many times that is VFP. Even when SQL makes good business sense VFP is very often the best front-end for it.
