I have only done two .jpg files. they both cause the problem. They were both scanned as .bmp and then converted to .jpg. I think they used photosho to make the conversion. I'll test with some other .jpg files that I have not scanned. Perhaps some photo images. Thanks for the thought. I'll let you know what happens.
