I've notice several posts in reference to Delayed Write failures when reindexing.

We have been able to recreate the problem with Windows2000 Pro SPK2.
The problem occurs when a computer is set up as a server in a peer-to-peer environment with a local folder connection as a network drive. When the user would try to reindex they would get a delayed write failure when reindexing a large table.

In order to overcome the problem, I installed service pack 3 of Windows2000 Pro and this solved the issue.
