Wayne, Web Service is a great technology but I don't think it will apply to this particular project. I'm trying to create a Windows Service app that runs in the background on a server w/o any user interaction or access. It's just that it needs to access a network share that's accessible using a specific network user account.

>>Is there a way to access a network share via impersonating a certain network user account from a different user account not having direct access?

>>IOW, I need to write a utility app that checks for new files dumped on a specific network share on a computer that does not have network rights to access the network share. Some function that would say "use this user account to access this network share instead of the currently logged in user account." TIA.

It's "my" world. You're just living in it.
