We need more particulars, Rodney (or at least *I* need more). What exactly is the C# business tier returning to you? An XML string? A DataSet? I use C# exclusively, so I'm not sure what VB does when it generates a typed DataSet (not sure if it's similar or different than what C# generates ... I would think it'd be similar).

Anyway, bottom line ... you shouldn't have to do anything manually, so I'm guessing there's some difference between what your VB code is expecting vs what the C# tier is returning. Care to elaborate?

I can create an instance of the dataset and try to merge it with the untyped dataset that gets returned to me from the C# business tier via remoting. However, I don't seem to be getting the primary keys and constraints in the strongly typed dataset. Do I have to set these manually, I thought that it would be included in the .vb class definition.
