FWIW, back in the days when ASP was the best, I had a shocking experience on a different forum when I dared to suggest different. A thoroughly rotton little fellow was trolled in by a so-called VFP MVP and the two of them mocked and scoffed as I tried over and over to explain why "in-line parsing" is so much more than just eval() and how it makes web development a breeze with VFP. Later on I saw the same person screaming at MS because in his opinion, dotNET was not a positive thing for him.
The lesson for me was that despite apparently severe conflict here, VFP-ers in UT generally behave much more as gentlewomen and gentlemen than some other forums where flaming and personal abuse seem normal. Sometimes I think one can tell who is "moving into the other camp" by their behaviour here. < g >
IIWY I'd take a quick look at the on-line demos on the
www.west-wind.com website and check out how little code is needed to make that stuff happen. I'm sure you'll agree re the need for frameworks when you see how easy west-wind makes it.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
