You're not saying that the ButtonRefresh code gets executed between 2 lines of code in a method of a textbox
on the active form?

I have 2 lines of code with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING between them:
wait window string(recno('clients'))
and
wait window string(recno('clients'))

The 2 lines show different recno()s. Surely the ButtonRefresh is not executing between them?
