It's been a while since I had to deal with a FPW 2.x issue like this.

I've got a table that's about 200MB. Been in use for about 7 years. When I try to pack it, everything works fine up to the very end. Here's the status as it is packing:

1. Copyies all DBF records (about 110K recs) very fast without any problem
2. Reads the memo file fast, no problems
3. Analyzes the memo file. No problems until 99+% -- then get invalid/missing memo file.

How can I fix this?

When I try COPY TO another table, it copyies very, very slow. So slow that I have interrupted it every time to try something else.

Also, I thought I remembered that there is a procedure for "packing" that is better than using the PACK command, but I can't find any references about this. Any ideas?
