Thanks, Tamar. You are absolutely right. I was doing some wierd stuff because I somehow thought they were different. You only give footers/headers a page in your book! That's probably all their worth, because as you say, they're the same as using RANGE elsewhere.

By the way, I love your book. I refer to it all the time. I've done some amazing Excel automation (and a fair amount of Word too) which blows clients away, all thanks to your guidance. The pie charts are especially cool. My rule - always set visible to .t. when doing charts - clients go gaga when they see it happening. If they only new how easy it was ...
