At first, I was having problems with document.body.innerHTML, so I was looking for an alternative. Then, I found that it was reacting weird based on the cascading of the command. We plugged the javascript function directly in the main page and it started to work ok. As you said, the use of regular expressions was then needed to complete the lookup.
