is this table local to your computer ?
i've had this happen with a table on a shared network drive (a file
server running Win NT 4). in that case i'd have to go to the
server and check "used resources" and manually disconnect a user
from it. (this was sometimes necessary even if that user was no
longer logged in).
if the table is local, and if you are running Win XP or Win 2000
or NT Workstation, you might have a local version of that same
problem. i'm running W2000, but haven't had the problem, so haven't
looked to see if there is a similar feature.
how 'bout virus scan, CHKDSK, and defrag ?
