>We are planning to upgrade our programs to the version 7 of VFP. But we found a lot of bugs (we are using SP1 applied).
>Does somebody know when Microsoft is planning to release the SP2?
Ricardo;
There are no anomalies with VFP 7.0 that will require the attention of an additional service pack. That is a business decision by Microsoft. To resolve issues with the present release of VFP would require manpower and finances. The monies spent to resolve software issues with VFP are better spent developing a new version of the product. The product is otherwise perfect.
Perhaps your problems will be resolved with the introduction of VFP 8.0. Then again it might take a service pack release to resolve issues with VFP 8.0 when it does hit the market. Let us hope that VFP 8.0 does not require a service pack as none may be issued.
Be careful stating that VFP has “Bugs” as this has caused serious discussions that were although passionate, very illogical and became personal attacks. It seems that some UT members take it as a personal assault if anything is said about VFP that is negative.
The above statements are said in good faith and with a sarcastic sense of humor. My sarcasm borders on reality so I apologize if I have offended anyone. My reality may be different than that of others.
As someone suggested you might define your problems and we can attempt to address them one at a time or all at once.
Those of us who have worked with such products for a number of years are used to jumping through hoops and bandaging code to make things work.
