>I'm really sorry to be so tardy in my responses.

No problem, Doug.

>Don't misunderstand Mike. It's people "like me" who are helping to avoid this end.

What does having a healthy sex life outside of a religious wedding ceremony have to do with saving the planet? Better question, what happens when fundamental religious people live in a tehcnologically advanced civilization? Far more worse things than a few teenagers doing what comes naturally to them :-)

>IOW, it's people like you, if you believe these things, that are generally degrading the condition of mankind. Sorr if that sounds harsh but it's the elevation of personal selfishness that will destroy mankind, not the elevation of the concept of sacrificing one's life for others that will....

Not harsh. Ignorant, yes, but not harsh :-)

Question: how many violent pot heads do you know? How many violent pro-lifers do you know?

>Well, you're pre-limiting God's omnipotent abilities it seems here.

I see.

>Ehrr.. These differences are exactly what differentiate deism with theism Mike.. Not subtle at all IMO.

Not true. Perhaps you're pre-limiting aspects of deism? Deists simply recognize that god exists but look at him as the blind watchmaker. A God that created the universe, set it in motion, and let it run. They make no claims about the personality of the watchmaker, but thats not to say that he doesn't have a personality.

>As I've said before, there are certsin 'qualities' that elevate mankind above the animal. Love, joy, grief, anger, revenge, honesty, selflessness, etc.

I agree. Our cereberal cortex's do make us a unique creature on this planet. Genetics is still as valid an explanation as God is.

>"The God Who Is There"
>I'll even send you a copy if you'd like.

I'd read it, for sure.

>>please explain to me then the existence of evil.
>"I can't really answer your question Doug so I won't. Now, don't we all feel better now?" <bg>

Not true. I'm just saying that your question isn't a real question. Your question is "Please explain the existence of something that probably doesn't exist". I'm not going to play that game.

>So Hitler's real name was Webster?

Did what Hitler and his army think what they were doing was evil? How can two people not recognize evil the same way?

The answer is because what hitler did was not "evil". In my opinion, and probably yours, it was horrible, it was disgusting, it was one of the worst things you could do. For convinence sake, we use the word "evil" to describe him, what he did, and what he stood for. But that does not mean that "evil" itself is something real.

Follow?

>>>If God created mankind it isn't wrong that He should place man and women in the relationship to each other He deems best is it?
>>Hmmmm, I'm not going to touch this at all.
>Chicken. <g>

Fine, this is the sort of fucked up bullshit that destroys the world. Not teenagers having sex, but people like you who take words written 2000 years ago as absolute truth, placing constraints on what humans can and can no do based on how they appear from the outside.

>Christianity has done more to liberate ladies than anything else I know.

Wow.

>You know, that's a neat question. Candidly I hope so but I really don't know.

Ok, lets say life is on another planet. Were they created by the same God we were?

>And ordered.. <g>

The new pictures of colliding Galaxies does not seem like order to me.
