OK, looking at this some more it does not appear that filter.txt gets rid of the mail, it just hides it. So that brings up two issues. SPAM will slowly eat up the hard drive and you mail file will continue to grow. Also it looks fairly easy to unapply the filter, and whalla the stuff is back on the screen.

You might want to take a look at Mailwasher.net. His free software will possibly do what you need. I use it at the house along with Outlook and love it. HIH
