What I would like to include is the ability to send internet e-mail (is receiving possible ??). that would mean that users start the "Comms" app and leave it running all day, without the need for switching to other e-mail clients.

Hazel,

I have a program listed in the Files Section under MAPI which uses the MAPI 1.0 used by MS Exchange and MSMail. It does require that you have one of these applications running. The reason I wrote/use it is because the company uses Exchange as it's primary means of communication and it allows the recipient to respond to particular user at our end. There are a number of drawbacks that I'd be happy to explain if your considering doing something like this.

Otherwise, (and I'm sure there's information about it here somewhere), I know that Michel uses a very elegant OCX to drive the UT emailer. That may be more slong the lines of what you're looking for.
