There's no sense getting all p*ssed off and indignant about whatever nasty thing someone chooses to say. People who know you will know it's unfounded, so who cares? Besides, replying to the poster just increases the amount of stuff they post back. If you quit replying, they'll quit posting. I must've missed JVP's posts concerning the sexual preferences of others ... I don't have time to read every darn thread that's posted here.

Bonnie;

Unless I am mistaken no “legal action” has been taken. Rather a letter from an attorney representing Michel was sent to JVP.

Not everyone can use the “sticks and stones” concept and certainly not everyone uses the twit filter. The twit filter does not remove the verbiage that actually exists. We are professionals and responsible for our actions. Accepting the fact that specific individuals act in an unacceptable manner may be condoned by some but not everyone. I can only imagine Michel acted as he did due to JVP’s continued negative actions.

The Internet is not the best place to attempt to communicate. That is a reality that will not be resolved. As American’s (United States) we hold precious many of our rights. We give up many of these rights for a number of reasons – in this case we are asked to obey specific rules of conduct while using the UT. Some people do not believe in laws or rules of society and some may not fully understand or apply them.

Attempting to condone or condemn the actions of another is a difficult task and not everyone agrees upon the outcome. What we are observing is first the action taken and now our own reactions. In part the reality of the issue is understood but may have far reaching consequences and only time will tell.
