Dear Valdis
JR>>I reminded him of his own behaviour
VM>>That's the comment that made me think of you're being judgemental.
Assuming that there is something wrong with my being judgemental while others do not feel so constrained: Why should *anybody* object to being reminded of their own behaviour? How is it being judgemental if I simply remind people of the facts?
>>Why should I not like having John on the UT? That's not a motive however. There are plenty of stupid comments (IMO) made by people on the UT. They have the same rights to say them as John does.<<
You can like or not like as you please and I've never said different. For the record I have not said I don't want him here, but as one who owns his own business and understands how apparently minor actions can suddenly create liability, I fully support MF's rights to act. He published rules, people knew the rules, people chose not to follow the rules. If MF gets blamed for that, next we'll be told that murderers did it because their daddy once called them a bad name. Personal Responsibility is not something we should need to argue about.
Regards
JR
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
