Your solution (adding check version code to the dbc stored procedure) worked fine and I think that would be the best solution for what I was planning to do, however, a new error occurs, this time upon updating records. What should be my cursor type and locktype upon opening a recordset? I get an error "Current Recordset does not support updating. This may be a limitation of the provider, or of the selected locktype." My current cursortype and locktype are adOpenStatic and adLockOptimistic respectively.
