Thats the point I was trying to make, its probably the route the Delphi guys took and probably the route others will take if they do not have interchangeable back ends (code generators). I have already generated managed EXE's from simple VFP source code but nothing that would give you a VFP->IL translator pass as this is no trivial task.

I think that the VFP community should be pleased that the VFP team has given them a tool that makes it easy to play with both toolsets.
