Having been assured that my VFP6 App will still work on my users' machines if I compiled the EXE under VFP7 (provided I didn't use any of the new VFP7 features) I proceeded to do so and made an update patch just containing the EXE (as has been my practice for years). I now find that the application will not run if the Runtime Library MSVCR70.dll and its dependencies are not present on the target machine.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to update my clients without needing to ship them the full array of VFP7 runtime components?
