More like the confused/clouded/obfuscated issue. But I'm not surprised. After all, it's just another page from the JVP/JB script:

1. Offer assistance.

2. Troll for arguments, using condescension and insults as bait (but only if the poster is male, otherwise repeat #1 ad infinitum, adding support and praise).

3. Become indignant and invoke one of the following as a defense:
a. 1st Amendment
b. The fact #1 took place
c. Past glory

4. Flame all who take offense to the verbal assaults.

5. Unimaginative, ad hominem attacks. Demean UT participation of attackees.

6. Post private discussions, phone calls, e-mails, letters... especially those taken completely out of context.

Here we have 4 possible interludes:
a. Posture with threatening legalese as a red herring to draw attention from the "real" issue(s).

b. Use the "I was only joking. I can't believe you took me seriously!" defense.

c. Offer perfunctory apology and steer the thread to another attempt at #2.

d. If attackees don't respond, escalate the tone. Claim victory as a last ditch bait effort.

7. Make as much noise leaving the UT as possible, claiming no return.

8. Go back to #1.
