I'm looking for the formula to determine how wide a grid must be to JUST be wide enough to accomodate all the
columns.

I have a form that resizes itself by some factor at run time, depending on the resolution of the screen.

When I resize a grid by the same factor it doesn't fit the columns as it did before resizing.
I would like to calculate the correct width and set it after resizing all the columns, but it appears to
be different for different resolutions.
