>I used it a lot several years ago (in VFP 5) and it works well. It's definitely not as easy to use as the Pervasive (the new name for Btrieve) ODBC driver, but the performance is an order of magnitude better. There's a bit of a learning curve, and the docs are OK but not great, but I recommend it if performance is important.

Thank you so much for your opinion. When it comes to a VFP / Btrieve combination, it looks like DBFTrieve is the only real option.
