Hi, Larry...

Thanks for the info on SELECT...INTO! I had read in SQL in a Nutshell (O'Reilly Press, page 147) that SELECT...INTO was only available in SQL Server. Obviously, that was incorrect. That helps me, because I've been using that for a succession of queries that need to return multiple result sets.

As for the SP issue...you made some additional good points, but I doubt I'll be able to convince anyone at this point. But the info on SELECT...INTO is helpful to me.

I downloaded Personal Oracle, but then had problems installing. For whatever reason, it wouldn't allow me to connect to a database with the user id / password that I specified during the install. So unless I can figure it out, I'm just going to delete the install and start over. Basically, I just want to install some version of Oracle, so that I can go into the equivalent of a Query Analyzer and try out these different syntaxes myself.

Thanks,
Kevin
