Your article emphasises that the big firms are not complaining and that therefore they must know something that the smaller developers do not know. Maybe they are not complaining, just going over as quickly as possble to Dot Net. I know of several larger shops here in Southern California shifting from FoxPro to Dot Net. Of course this information is anectdotal. I have no statistics on this.

Perhaps AccpAC (once SBT) and Accountmate and makers of a few other products based on VFP will threaten to sue if M$ threatened to discontinue VFP altogether. Of course M$ has bought up Great Plains with its own propriatory code and database and may not care about them.

In the meantime, I am studying Dot Net and C#.
