Some of you may not understand who that dog is and what it’s all about. Here is a little history. The puppet dog’s name is "Triumph the Insult Comic." The clip is from the show Late Night with Conan O’Brien and I’m pretty sure that Late Night is where he got his start. Originally, when he was on the show he had a small stage and would act like a stand up comedian. Almost every joke ended with "for me to poop on." Something like, "I love visiting Conan. I think his show is really great (pause) FOR ME TO POOP ON!"

Even though the jokes were easy, it was very funny and he was always a huge hit. After he became such a huge hit, they started sending him to events like real dog shows and one time he even asked Don Rickles (famous insult comic) if he could sniff his butt. Triumph and his owner at one time sued Pets.com because they seem to feel that the Pets.com sock puppet was a rip off of Triumph. I think Pets.com went under before that ever made it to court. Triumph was then on the show "TV Fun House" from time to time. That show is no more, and wasn’t nearly as funny.
