The publisher of Brief (Software Solutions, I think) sold it to Borland. Borland incorporated many Brief features into its IDEs but wound up orphaning Brief as a standalone product. dBrief was the version tailored to Xbase. If you are looking for a copy of either Brief or dBrief, I have both and can send them to you for the cost of shipping.
