Don't know what features it had, but what I would find usefull would be a string search and replace over marked files or search result files ...

>>>The best NC clone for Windows I ever saw, Windows Commander - see at
http://www.ghisler.com/ - I'm using it for all sorts of stuff, and its install still fits on one floppy. And yes, has a file compare and directory compare, file view (recently added even a mp3 "viewer").

>So do I - I have two tiny windows with links to my favorite games and tools... but for real work, WinCmd. Specially the search tool, plus feed-to-lister, and then F3 to view the file, without having to wait for Windows to plow the registry to find that there's no program in charge of this particular file extension. Or even if there's a program which would handle it, it takes ages to load, and I only want to look at it. Besides, the search list
stays, to differ from WE's strategy of "I assume you were looking for one file, so if you do anything with it, I assume you want to open it with the regular program, or I can open the containing folder in a new window...". The only thing I'm missing in WC's lister is the capabilities once Dave Buerg's list.com had... that was a great tool.
