I want to create a formula in Excel so that, within a cell, I can type "=GETDATA(cTable1,cField1,cSeekExp)", which will return the data. It works in Office XP pretty easily, by just creating a COM Object with a method of GETDATA. XP will then allow you to select any registered DLL and access its methods from the ADDIN Tools Option. The only problem I have with this is when I use a cell reference for the data, the function receives "$A$1" instead of the referenced value. I solved this by using a Excel function like UPPER or PROPER to pass references. (not very elegant but it works)

My biggest problem is I can't get previous versions of Excel to allow me to add my Foxpro DLL as an Addin. I can't seem to figure out how to create a function in Excel, without creating an Addin. Furthermore, all the MS Libraries send me off through VB or VC++ to create an Addin, which I don't mind doing, but the documentation is difficult at best. Any help, pointers, or a better direction would be greatly appreciated.
