i have developed a VFP6 application that uses the Snappy OCX
from Play, Incorporated to capture still images from a video
tape. it works great on Win95/98/ME. but unfortunately, Play
Incorporated no longer exists, and the OCX will not install
on WIN2K (we cannot stay on Win95 forever!).

i'm thinking about going with some video card that has frame
grabber ability, but need one with an SDK to duplicate the features
provided by the Snappy OCX.

if anyone has had to deal with this issue and found a good
solution, i'd sure be happy to hear your approach.
