When you install the Oracle client a TNSNAMES file will be created. This TNSNAMES.ORA file will tell Oracle where to find an Oracle Database. My TNSNAMES is located C:\orawin\network\admin\tnsnames.ora. This file can be edited with notepad.
After you have the oracle client installed with TNSNAMES.ORA setup to find the Oracle database you want you are ready to setup a 32bit ODBC DNS name. To do this go into the cotrol panel and find 32bitODBC and add a new DNS name. Windows98 shows this in the control panel Windows2000 has this in the control panel under administrative tools.
