I'm still waiting for the Chicago Cubs to win the pennant, play in the world series and WIN. On that day also 500,000 VB programmers will migrate to FoxPro and FoxPro will join Dot Net and replace C# and VB.Net. Also pigs and horses will fly.

I will be at the LA FOX meeting Tuesday.

>>Fond memories and great moments in sports. Remember Crazy George from KC who showed up at soccer games beating his war drum?

>Crazy George! Impossible to forget him! He was there for all the San Jose EarthQuake soccer games too! I have not seen him for a long time. When things got slow Crazy George knew how to get everyone fired up! When things got really slow for the television news crews they would interview Crazy George. Now there was a true sports fan!
>
>You should see the soccer field the EarthQuakes used. It was the Stadium that belongs to San Jose State University - which is used for football. There is no room for a throw-in from the sidelines - the field is too narrow. There is no way to kick a corner as the corners touch the seats.
>
>San Jose has more people than San Francisco and lots more money but no outdoor professional stadium. We do have what we call "The Shark Tank" where our NHL Sharks play. Also our symphony is bankrupt. Things are very rough for Silicon Valley from a financial aspect. Many are unemployed and there are so many vacancies for houses and apartments with over 16 million square feet of unoccupied office space.
>
>Remember indoor soccer? That was the worst game invented. Geroge Best transfered from the Aztec's to the EarthQuakes. He set a record - 3 goals in 90 seconds. While playing on the indoor soccer field he tripped on the astro terf laid on top of the floor. It came in 10 foot widths and was just laid down. He injured his knee and swore to never play on that junk again.
>
>I have a picture I took of Pele and George Best with my 800 mm lens - they are in the air horizontaly about 4-5 feet off the ground with the soccer ball between them and each one with his foot about two feet from the ball. I cannot remember who got the ball but what players those two were!
