Hello Colin,

I like your answer :-) I will try to convince the network administrator that it is his network that is the problem (again) and get him to take it ALL down. As you can tell, the network administrator and I already bump heads.

This particular problem has only occurred at a single site where the new executable was tested.

My system is patheticly slow already at 15 different sites that this network administrator manages. I am pleased to say though that there is one more site that was brought into the pool recently, which was not originally managed by this guy. This one site works at a speed I would expect to see. All things being equal (computer speed P4, server speeds, etc.) the 15 sites load the main form in 60 seconds, while the one site can do it in 20 seconds.

1 Wide Area Network serving currently 16 Local Area Networks, sites, (Soon to be 18+) Each LAN will have approx. 7 people using my system. Each LAN system probably has 50 users accessing at the same time (WOW Big eh! ;-) Email or otherwise.) Each LAN is at least 30 miles from the next LAN; hence, WAN. My system is only at the LAN level (does not communicate with a database 30 miles away.) So by knowing this we know it is not due to network traffic.

I also manage two other VFP systems which are on 26 completely independant networks, which have been operating for 4 years. Not a single site has reported being this slow.

The Network Administrator thinks it's my executable!

Gordon.
